Brief Description: Located on Cape Arago, Sunset Bay Golf Course lies next to Sunset Bay State Park on the beautiful central Oregon Coast. It is set on a huge hundred acre parcel of land.\n\nSurrounded by a scenic valley, this unique layout borders lush forests and is radiant with natural beauty. As you enjoy your relaxing game, you may notice the natural wildlife, such as Black-tailed Deer and Kingfishers overhead. The barking of Sea lions basking on rocks in Sunset Bay and along Simpson Beach intermingles with the crashing surf. The valley locale means that golf at Sunset Bay is protected from the bone-rattling Pacific winds, and the players may encounter varied terrain.\n\nBig creeks figure prominently in eight of the Sunset Bay nine holes. Two feeder ponds from this stream also serve as hazards. The dual tee (par 36 per side) layout consists of a 3,020 yard front nine, and a 3,035 back nine. As could be expected with its Oceanside setting, Sunset Bay is green year around. A noteworthy hole is the 8th, a 450 yard par 5. This 90 degree dogleg right winds around cedar stumps to a sizable green trapped right front.
